The Great Commandment

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbour as yourself. All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:36-40

Doing Life Together

We are on a journey together. That journey is to know Christ, and as we pursue Him, we also are learning the value of doing life together.

We recognize that as we do the seasons together, we are changing, we are growing, we are learning to love deeper & to cherish one another.

This road brings with it some hard challenges, but the value of having walked together through the hard places is immeasurable. We share our tears, our joys, our victories.

We are a Community, His Community. We are delighted to be doing this life together.

Members of one body. The body of Christ.

Community

Bethel is a church whose vision is to be a community of believers who live out the message of the Cross in real life. We seek to be a people who live in community and who truly love that community.
Acts 2:44 states. ” And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had.”
We believe that if we truly get this idea of community and learn to live as one family unit, that there is nothing God cannot do. He will show up. We will see things unfold just like they seen in the book of Acts. His favour will rest upon our lives. We are labouring towards that community.

As we seek to be living in community, we are also attempting to reach out to our community.
As we have sought the Lord, He has given us some practical ways that we can live out this idea of community with those around us.

We feel He has led us to do an outreach meal and service monthly which has served to break down some very thick walls & has opened the way for interaction with people we never could have imagined.

The Lord has led us to participate in numerous community Bible Studies which do not have a label over them. They simply are a group of people hungry for God and for His Word. We are seeing believers come together and walls fall down.

As we obey Him we are continuing to see community built and Jesus glorified.
The heart of Bethel is to lift up Jesus and let Him draw all men unto Himself.
