Clarity in these Times

The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right,
giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous. They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb. By them your servant is warned;  in keeping them there is great reward. But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression. May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

It seems each day you turn on the computer or television to watch the news that the noise just continues to get louder and louder. The false information and echos of hatred have done their best to silence truth. There are times if we are not careful that the tsunami of this age and its high pitched scream can pull us in and before we know it we are being carried off into a place we did not plan on going.

This is a real war and the more we stop to consider that fact, the better equipped we will be to face the poison that the enemy is slowly dropping into the hearts of those who inhabit the earth.

While things change, and the darkness increases across the globe, we may find ourselves asking, “Who can I trust?”, “How can I begin to filter truth through all this noise?”, “Is it possible to have clarity in these times?”

I am convinced with all my heart that clarity is possible but only to the one who has made the Lord their refuge…not in word only, but in reality.

Psalm 19 tells us that the law of the Lord, is perfect. In that law, we have everything we need to face any day because that Word brings life, light and truth to any moment.

While we cannot trust social media, the news, or the latest video posted for our great new revelation, we can trust in the unfailing Word and promises of God.

There is a Word that is trustworthy. Run to it!!

We need to give careful thought to our ways. What am I running to? Am I running to the online noise to speak to my moment? If I am, the noise will lead me. I will have confusion and hate as part of my output.

The call of the believer is not to become like the world around them but to be true to the Gospel in the midst of any culture. The Gospel brings clarity. When we run to the Word, we can have an assurance and a clear mind in a world gone mad. We need to not walk carefully but run with intensity to this Word. It is truly a matter of life and death.

There is a Word that gives light. Discern with it!

His Word gives light. It gives us the ability to discern and see things for what they are. With this Word we can see the schemes of the enemy. We can lay a situation beside the Word and the light reveals what it really is. What is unfolding in our world may be changing daily but if we lay the events of the earth beside the Word that gives light we can truly discern what is going on. We cannot do this by listening to the noise, but rather by listening to the Word and placing all things beside the Word which is truth.

If I want clarity in these times, I must discern the times we are in and live out of that reality rather than out of the chaos.

There is a Word that brings true peace. Love it!

Pslam 119:165 tells us that the person who loves the law of God will have peace, and will not be someone you can offend. Again, we live in a time when creating offence is as easy as putting out the wrong hashtag in support (or not) of a movement. People are offended for everything. Literally. The Word is clear that there is a solution to not becoming someone who jumps on the hate wagon and offence train. Love the Word. Love it…more than you love anything. Love it more than you love your opinion. Love it more than you love the world, your side, being right….love it!! This too brings clarity. When I love His Word more than anything, I put everything in perspective based upon this Word and realize nothing is worth compromising my heart or relationship with God for. He is truly the most precious of all I have. I want nothing stopping an open connection between He and I.

May God raise up in this hour vessels who operate in clarity in these times.

May He find sons and daughters running to His Word, discerning by His Word, and free of offence because they love His Word.

Clarity is a rare thing these days. It is reminiscent the pearl of great price hidden away. If I were blessed to find clarity, it shouldn’t take long to realize that I would gladly sell all in order to obtain it.
Watching the media these days is similar to trying to live inside a hurricane. The Word of God is the only relief & only remedy to what the world is throwing at us. I find myself more & more ready to state with the apostle John at the end of the book of Revelation, “Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.” when Christ said, “Yes, I am coming quickly.”
With all the conflicting voices of today, there are two ways to find clarity as seen in Matthew 13:44-46: accidently stumbling onto it or purposefully seeking it out. For me & for the purpose of this study clarity has a name … Jesus Christ. The joy of finding/hearing His voice in the midst of all the irritating, noisy other voices is priceless. I am catching on that nothing in this world can compare to the peace of mind of knowing the Shepherd’s voice.
There is a Word that is trustworthy. Run to it!!
Run FAST. A verse just one chapter earlier (in Psalm 18) says this so well, “The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, IN WHOM I WILL TRUST; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.”
“The name of the LORD is a strong tower. A righteous person RUNS to it and is safe.” (Prov. 18:10)
This period of lockdown has made one thing so clear to me – only the word of the Prince of Peace is reliable.
There is a Word that gives light. Discern with it!
It is only after running into the strong tower that I can then walk in clarity. Not only does His word give light to each step but also to the path ahead. “Your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.” (Isaiah 30:21)
What a promise He has made to me through the prophet Jeremiah, “ Listen to and obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people; and you will walk in all the way which I command you, so that it may be well with you.” (Jer. 7:23)
I have found, especially this past week with so much going on in the world, that without His voice shedding light the enemy is only to willing to draw me into the snares & entanglements of this present age. If we are called to be a candle set high so that our light will shine & glorify God, we need to know both Him & His voice. That can only happen by spending time in His word, listening for His voice.
There is a Word that brings true peace. Love it!
“Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:5-7) You cannot help but love the God Who has promised us to be our peace. You cannot help but love the God who Loves.
    Run! Discern! And Love!
Thanks once again for the call back to the Word. The Word made flesh … Who loves us so much. The word clearly says, “We love Him because He first loved us.

    Clarity…now…

If you are looking at this study and fail to understand the urgency of the time, your perception of Truth borders Deception. Ignorance gives way to unrest and an unnatural craving for world fulfillment. God Himself is the only One who can fill the emptiness within us. It is God Himself that we long for and it is God who fills the emptiness in us with Himself.

The kingdom of God is within you…. Jesus said. So we ask, who is on the throne of your life? It is you that makes no allowances for a place for God to reign in your life? …or does “self” reign? Who knows better how to run your life….you, or the One that created you.

That One is God….the One who came, who “in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.” (John 1:1,2) “In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.” ((John 1:4) . “The Word became flesh…” (John 1:14) And we see “Jesus” full of grace and truth.

Notice that it said “and that life was the light”. The life of Jesus who is the Word, who is God…recorded in scripture, revealed, a light in our darkness….now shines in our heart….reveals the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Outside of Christ Jesus there is no life. He who has the Son has life, he who does not have the Son does not have life. (1 John 5:12)

“In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son…” (Heb. 1:1,2) Jesus is God’s final Word.

“See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven? 26 At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.”[e] 27 The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain.
28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29 for our “God is a consuming fire.” …”
    (Heb.25, 11,12)
